Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and a singer. She is a beautiful and knowledgeable actor, she is an inspiration to numerous Asian actors that want to break into Hollywood. After appearing in a number of episodes in popular television shows that made her famous, she was a part of her role in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she was Ling Woo. The actress transformed her new popularity into big screen roles in films like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an amazing performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren. In the meantime, she was also in the lead role in a few movies that were not a success at the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she was able to start voicing characters from animated movies like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen roles did not achieve any successes. The role she played in the critically acclaimed police drama Southland was instrumental in establishing her as a prominent actress. Liu is extremely cautious when choosing her roles so that she is not the victim of a hugely competition-driven industry. Though she's proud of her heritage, she does not let that limit her imagination.
