Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British composer and vocalist. Harry Styles was one of the founding members of One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on the 1st of February 1994. He is the father of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, together with his fellow classmates, formed a music group called White Eskimo. The band won in 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. Even though he had always been interested in the music world, despite his passion for it he wanted also to become a lawyer and physiotherapist. He was employed in a local bakery part-time in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition where he sang the Stevie Wonder's hit song Is not She Lovely. That's why his group broke up. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he be part of a new band called One Direction. The other group members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The formation of the group took place in the year 2010, and the five youngsters were funded by Simon Cowell. During the competition the band played songs, such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group was one of the contenders to be the winner. The group was placed in third spot just behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle and took home the prize. Although Harry Styles and his group were not crowned winners, Cowell signed a deal worth 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with Syco Records. Syco record label.
