Amber Benson is a talented American actor who has performed as a singer, writer, director and producer. Most famously, she is best known for her character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also was the director, producer and star on her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she starred as her bridesmaid in the Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Her younger sister is Danielle and works as an artist. Benson's father was Jewish while her mother was a Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. She grew up going to a Reform community in Alabama. Benson's career has continued to flourish since the end of Buffy. She was in films such as The Killing Jar, and shows such as Morganville The Series. In the background, she utilized her writing talents into her Ghosts of Albion series and was the director on shows like the 2010's Drones.
