Lisa Edelstein is an American actress who is best known for her role in House, a Fox medical series, House. Following her upbringing by conservative Jews in Wayne, New York City was where she set her sights to study the theater at Tisch. Her performance quickly made her a part of the club scene in New York. Her shows were so captivating that the local press took note. Then, she used her experience and fame, and her own training to both write and perform a show called Positive Me. In the following year, she was hired by MTV to be the host of Awake On The Wild Side. Once it went off the air, she began appearing in TV and films beginning in roles of a short duration before establishing herself as an actor.
