Kate Beckinsale

Kathrin Romany Beckinsale (born 26 July 1973)[1][2][3] is an English actress and model. As a student at Oxford, she made her film debut in Much Ado About Nothing (1993). In addition to numerous stage and radio productions, she starred in British costume dramas like Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), and Shooting Fish (1997). In the latter half of 1990, Beckinsale began film work in the United States. After starring in the small-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), Beckinsale was a part of Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2001) and Tiptoes (2003). Following these, she was featured in the lead roles in The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). These films established her as a leading character in Hollywood.Since playing the role of Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has become known for her work in action-oriented films, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012) as well as Total Recall (2012). She is still appearing in lesser dramatic films such as Snow Angels (2007), Nothing but the Truth (2008) as well as Everybody's Fine (2009). Her work received favorable reviews for her performances in the two earlier films. The year 2016 brought high praise from critics. She was awarded the Critics' Choice Movie Awards for the Best Actress in the comedy film for Love & Friendship. Jolt (1921) introduced her back to action film. She also appeared in two television shows with Jolt (2021) and The Widow (202019).
